Job Title - Buyer
Location - Burton On Trent area
Salary - Up to £38K + benefits
Hour - 7.30am-4.00pm Monday to Thursday, 7.30am-12.30pm Friday
Role
- Respond to MRP and requisition generated demands and issuing requests for quotation
- Placement of orders in line with the company delegated authority procedures.
- Maintain stock item, purchase order & supplier records.
- Using reports to identify potential shortages in the flow of key components.
- Re-scheduling of components to prevent under/over stocking.
- Supplier relationship management
- Cost saving and product improvement initiatives
- Expediting , rejects and returns
- Invoice queries
- Attend Production, Quality and Safety meetings
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years purchasing experience
- Experience of MRP systems
- Strong IT skills including advance MS Excel
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Desirable – CIPS qualification and sage experience
