Accommodation Manager

Accommodation Manager wanted for an exciting opportunity

Location: Oxfordshire

Length: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £43,742 per annum

Responsibilities:

  • Providing advice and guidance to prospective and existing staff covering a variety of accommodation issues including allocations, accommodation options, rent arrears and contractual issues, making referrals where appropriate
  • Focusing on all accommodation management to maximise accommodation efficiency, availability and accessibility
  • Conduct regular reviews of workload, set objectives and review performance by undertaking regular 1:1 meetings along with annual appraisals for the Accommodation Administrator
  • Work closely on any strategic residential projects involving other agencies and public sector organisations
  • Ensure repairs and maintenance is carried out in a timely manner, communicating with any affected tenants
  • Evaluate levels of service against standards and be aware of legislation that may have an operational or financial impact
  • Look after budgets for the accommodation and third party housing provider cost centres, production and monitoring of budget reports
  • Interpret and implement housing legislation and ensure compliance with tenancy agreements
  • Investigate and respond to tenant complaints
  • Undertake financial and other audit checks monthly
  • Inspect properties both prior to, during and at the end of tenancy agreements

Requirements**:**

  • You must have at least 2 years' experience in property management or an Estates role
  • Extensive knowledge of landlord and tenant functions, including leases and contract management
  • You must be able to get between sites in the Oxfordshire area
