Business Support Officer

Salary - £12.80 per hour PAYE // £15.72 per hour Ltd Umbrella

Working Pattern: 08:30 - 17:00 (Mon-Thu), 08:30 - 16:30 (Fri)

Location: BS34(Hybrid)

We are seeking a dedicated Business Support Officer to join a dynamic team and provide essential administrative support.

In this role, you will be at the heart of operations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and supporting professional teams within the North Locality Hub. Your expertise will help maintain data integrity, manage financial tasks, and support decision-making processes.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Provide administrative support to professional teams within the North Locality Hub.
  • Collate, input, maintain, and analyse information on specialised databases, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Produce and interpret reports, draft content, and perform data analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Manage financial tasks using the council's systems, including data entry, purchasing, and processing claims.
  • Take minutes at key meetings and provide word processing support.
  • Serve as a primary contact for customers and colleagues, handling enquiries and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Prioritise tasks and manage workload with a degree of autonomy, in consultation with the Business Support Supervisor/Team Leader.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a similar department or public sector environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when managing specialised databases.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of dealing with challenging behaviours and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Ability to interpret and produce information from data, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
