About the Role:
Veritas Education is seeking a dedicated and organised School Administrator to join a dynamic school team in Bradford. This is a full-time position, starting in September 2024. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, experience with SIMS (School Information Management System), and a passion for supporting the smooth operation of a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reception Duties: Serve as the first point of contact for students, parents, and visitors. Manage phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks, including managing student records, handling correspondence, and supporting school events.
  • SIMS Management: Maintain and update the school's SIMS database, ensuring accurate records of student attendance, performance, and other key information.
  • Communication: Coordinate communication between teachers, parents, and external stakeholders. Distribute important notices and information efficiently.
  • Safeguarding: Ensure that all visitors follow safeguarding protocols and maintain a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.
  • DBS Compliance: Handle sensitive information in line with Data Protection regulations. A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required for this position.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience with SIMS: Proven experience working with SIMS in a school setting is essential.
  • Administrative Skills: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • DBS Check: A valid, up-to-date DBS check is required (or willingness to obtain one).
