Fraser Carver Executive Search are working with a rapidly expanding Financial Services company in the East Midlands who are looking to appoint a Solutions Architect to report into their Head of Architecture. You will own multiple large and small programmes of work, centred mainly around the cloud hosted CRM (AWS), developing solutions for the core company and various other businesses within the group. You'll specialise in Domain-Driven Design (DDD) within AWS, APIs, and microservices, ensuring scalability and flexibility, leading to meaningful business impact.
Responsibilities:
- Designing Scalable Architectures: Develop software solutions, to meet the business needs, in AWS, ensuring scalability and flexibility.
- Applying DDD Principles: Apply domain-driven design principles to identify bounded contexts, aggregates, and domain events, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Applying SDLC: Have a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.
- Implementing Microservices: Design and implement microservices architectures, ensuring modularity, independence, and resilience.
- Creating APIs: Architect and design APIs to enable communication and integration between microservices and external systems.
- Prototyping (preferred but not necessary) - Have the ability to prototype designs in order to support the development teams through demonstrating new concepts and establishing template solutions for them to develop from

About You
You'll be experienced in operating in a cloud environment and understanding of architectural patterns to support modern cloud- based solutions development. Ideally, you'll have a C# background with experience of Domain-Driven Design and Event-Driven Architecture with Agile / Scrum methodologies in a CI/CD process. You'll have great knowledge in API design principles and best practice, to design microservices architectures with OAuth2.0 and OpenID Connect.
Please note this is a hybrid role and will require 2 days per week in the office so candidates must be within comutable disctance of the East Midlands.
