MERITUS are recruiting for a Technical Author to join our client on an initial 6 month contract out of their offering based in Bristol.
TECHNICAL AUTHOR - INSIDE IR35 - £48.18 per hour - BPSS+ CLEARANCE - FILTON, GLOUCESTERSHIRE - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS
Responsibilities
- Analyse the content of repair and production drawings, technical notes and other source data
- Analyse vendor data and in-service reports
- Identify any impact on customer needs as result of this information
- Provide answers to customer queries
- Provide relevant data to meet customer maintenance and operational needs
- Ensure that all information is communicated in line with our client's policies, processes and procedures
- Work with others to ensure effective service to customers
- Refer complex or airworthiness issues and queries to correct areas
- Plan own tasks to meet customer needs
- Provide feedback on customer needs
- Represent department at decision-making meetings trans-nationally
- Provide Network/subcontract management to deliver tasks to Time/Cost /Quality
- Support key strategic projects & initiatives
Skill Set
Essential
- Previous experience of authoring, verification & validation in Technical Data Manuals specifically IPC
- Good knowledge of aircraft maintenance, repair and production processes and procedures
- Practical experience of engineering/aircraft maintenance advantageous
- Project management capability and willingness to get involved
- Excellent English Language skills, both written and verbal
- Good communication and inter-personal skills
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
- Computer literate
