We are delighted to be partnering with one of Gloucestershire's most successful and reputable building merchants in their search for a new assistant manager. In this role you will be selling an extensive range of Plumbing, Heating and Trade shop materials to account holders and cash sale customers**,**
This exciting opportunity will allow you to develop your skills further and take pride in assisting the Branch Manager in the day to day running of a 160 + year old family-owned business.
Key tasks:
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing trade and retail customers
- Specialise in Plumbing & Heating Sales to key account customers
- Drive and achieve your sales and GP targets in line with the agreed budgets
- Serving and exceeding customer expectations on collection and deliveries
- Keeping yourself and the sales teams up to date on new products
- Resolve day to day problems for the company and your team
- Produce competitive quotations within the customer's time frames and needs
- 100% call back response to our customers
- Following all rules and regulations set out by your line managers
- Adhere to all health and safety standards in the workplace
- Setting up customer terms/accounts
- Managing branch purchasing and stock control
- Collaborate on Trade events and Special offers for our customers
Experience Required:
- Previous relevant experience is desired ideally within plumbing / heating
- Strong communication skills
- Previous management experience desired
