Design Technology (DT) Technician – Long Term Contract/Permanent
We are currently looking to recruit a DT Technician for a Secondary School in Bradford. This is a vacancy cover and can become a permanent role for the right candidate.
The school are looking to appoint an experience DT Technician who would be happy to work on a full-time basis primarily supporting KS3 and KS4 year groups.
Your duties as a DT Technician will include:
- Preparation of materials and equipment for day's lessons, including print requests.
- Monitoring stock, and sourcing and ordering new stock and equipment
- Health and Safety checks on machines, equipment and tools, providing basic maintenance where needed.
- Providing technical advice to staff and support in class for students with their practical projects.
- General cleaning and clearing of areas and servicing of all tools and equipment as well as replenishing of low stock. Regular checking of all areas (ICT, textiles, resistant materials, graphics) for faulty or broken equipment.
- Issuing tools and equipment to staff/students. Providing demonstrations of equipment to staff/students.
