Group Strategic Analytics (GSA) is part of Group Chief Operation Office (COO) which acts as the bridge between the Bank's businesses and infrastructure functions to help deliver the efficiency, control, and transformation goals of the Bank.

You will join the Finance Business Process SME chapter, comprised of a team of Finance SMEs, who manage strategic transformation initiatives for Group Finance. The core responsibility of the team involves business and functional review of front-to-back infrastructure for Debt Market Finance processes wherein risks, control gaps, issues, and dependencies are defined, followed by configuration of strategic platforms fit for purpose and re-engineering of functional processes, ultimately driving adoption of strategic platforms into Business Finance, with the goal of achieving a control focused and optimised end state.

Your key responsibilities

  • Perform analysis, document business requirements, and collate feedback for sign-off
  • Research issues/ questions from the relevant Run the Bank (RTB) Finance Teams relating to project deliverables to facilitate a resolution, escalating where appropriate
  • Provide SME support for project related issues and propose solutions
  • Conduct Business Processes and System Architecture Training to RTB users
  • Collaborate closely with Information Technology to help requirements as needed
  • Define user acceptance test cases, executing and managing the activity

Your skills and experience

  • Background in the Financial Services Industry - preferably Investment Banking - Global Markets, Corporate Banking
  • Solid experience working within the profession of Finance Processes/ Business/Data Analysis within the Finance arena
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications specifically vlookups and pivot tables
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in virtual teams and in a matrix organisation
