Finance Manager

Are you a skilled finance professional looking to make a real impact in a growing family-run business? Our client, based in Chorley, is seeking a Finance Manager to join their close-knit team of three. With exciting growth plans on the horizon, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to step in and play a key role in driving the financial operations forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take accounts to trial balance.
  • Manage the purchase and sales ledger functions.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Handle VAT returns and ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
  • Oversee credit control and manage outstanding payments effectively.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial tasks to support the business's growth objectives.

What We're Looking For:

  • Ideally AAT qualified or with equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to handle end-to-end accounts, including trial balance, VAT, and reconciliations.
  • Strong experience in purchase and sales ledger management.
  • Excellent Excel skills and experience with bespoke accounting systems.
  • A proactive, team-oriented individual who is comfortable working within a small, collaborative team.
  • Hybrid working model available for the right candidate.

What's On Offer:

  • A salary of up to £35,000 depending on experience.
  • Hybrid working arrangement.
  • Monday to Friday working hours (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM).
