Reed Education is representing a beautiful Prep School in Cobham, and we are seeking a passionate Maths Teacher to join our dedicated team from September 2024. We welcome applications from Early Careers Teachers as well as seasoned educators. This role offers the chance to deliver Mathematics within a dynamic curriculum at a school that values intellectual curiosity and academic rigour.

Day to Day of the Role

  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Mathematics lessons, fostering a love for the subject.
  • Plan and prepare lessons with clear objectives, in line with the Mathematics curriculum.
  • Assess and strive to improve the standards of Mathematics teaching and student outcomes.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to different mathematical concepts and learning needs.
  • Create a challenging yet supportive environment that encourages students to tackle mathematical problems.
  • Maintain effective communication with pupils, staff, and parents regarding student progress in Mathematics.
  • Engage in the school community and contribute to Mathematics-related extracurricular activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • A teaching qualification with a specialisation in Mathematics.
  • A degree in Mathematics or a related discipline.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to motivate and connect with students.
  • Ability to manage pressure and meet educational deadlines.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development in Mathematics education.
  • Familiarity with Pre-test and Common Entrance 13+ exams in Mathematics is an advantage.
