To Start As Soon As Possible - Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
We are recruiting for a HLTA to provide professional support to the teaching team in delivering teaching and learning to primary students across the age range in a Romford School.
32.5hrs/wk Mon - Fri (Term time)
This HLTA role will require someone who:
- has a sense of humour
- experienced working with the primary curriculum
- able to cover classes across a variety of KS1 & KS2
- has energy with a professional approach to work
- have an understanding of SEN
- intervention and differentiation for delivery of lessons
- an ability to manage others in a positive way
- the ability to prioritise
- used to managing others and can work well in a team.
HLTA Responsibilities and Qualification:
- To monitor and assess the students learning recording and reporting the students' progress and development.
- To assist in the development and management with the staff team to build on the schools teaching and learning delivery
- To organise and supervise administrative systems within the school
- To liaise and work with teachers and SLT where appropriate
- Provide verbal and written feedback on lesson content, student responses to learning activities and student behaviour, to teachers and students in line with school policy.
- To support the students in social and emotional well-being, reporting and managing any problems as they arise
- To use positive behaviour management strategies in line with the school's policy and procedures to contribute to a purposeful learning environment and encourage the students to interact and work cooperatively with others.
This role would suit an experienced teaching assistant in the wishing for progression or an existing HLTA looking to work in the primary sector. All successful candidates have access to many training courses for continued professional development.
HLTA qualification is essential.
