Event Sales Executive

We are looking for a Venue Sales Coordinator to play a lead role in selling the venue. Reporting to the Venue Sales Manager, you will be converting enquires into sales, upselling events and liaising with clients, post-event, and maximise opportunities for future business.

Acting as an ambassador for the venue ensuring that a positive brand image is strengthened and maintained in all interactions with clients.

KEY OBJECTIVES

  • To deal with incoming enquiries and respond, via telephone and email, within a specified time frame
  • To efficiently organise diaries and trace all enquiries within a certain period, including the qualifying of leads and progressing all enquiries with a robust trace system
  • Maximise efficient use of venue inventory, pricing accordingly in line with dynamic pricing structures
  • Departmental target and budget delivery
  • To have a strong and balanced sales approach with a proactive and productive nature, offering a significant contribution to the sales strategy
  • An aptitude for influencing and persuading others
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to trace enquiries and prospective sales and conclude positively
  • Ensure venue USPs are communicated with, to all incoming enquiries to better the conversion rates
  • With the Operations team, conduct site visits to sell the stadium and secure business
  • Prepare contracts for venue hire
  • Updating the booking system and diaries with all provisional and confirmed events
  • Follow up with all clients to ensure feedback is received and to ensure a high level of repeat business

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (KPIs)

  • Contribute to £3m revenue target each year by:
  • Convert 30% of all inbound enquiries
  • Deliver £750k inbound revenue
  • BDRC Mystery Shop - 100% for email enquiry, 85% for telephone enquiry
  • 5 x outbound telephone calls to customers per day
  • 68% GP for food and Beverage
  • 40% New business YOY
