Location: Hybrid working between home and office in Tisbury (1-2 visits per month)

International Cat Care has been challenging cruelty, ignorance and misunderstanding around cats since 1958. They have since become a leading cat welfare charity which believes that we have a shared responsibility to protect cats from physical and mental suffering. They fund research, provide information for cat owners, advocate for better understanding of cats, and consult on legislation regarding animal welfare with a specific focus on cats. They advise some of the UK's biggest animal charities, providing research and support to make sure they are delivering the best possible care.

About the role:

The Head of Marketing and Communications will focus on developing and implementing the marketing and communications strategy. You'll lead a small team and be involved in the creation and implementation of a comprehensive communications strategy which aims to increase iCatCare's brand visibility, and awareness of their mission. This is a great time to be joining this small but mighty team, as well as being the "expert" on all things Marketing & Communications, you'll also sit on the SLT having the opportunity to help shape the future of this impactful organisation.

The Head of Marketing and Communications will also:

  • Respond to a wide range of requests across the charity, ranging from social media, webpages, emails, campaigns, high-level charity communications
  • Develop and deliver social media strategy and content for iCatCare channels
  • Work with senior colleagues to create, manage and expand a network of ambassadors, including feline veterinary experts and celebrities who advocate for the charity.
  • Line Manage the Social Media Officer and Digital Marketing Officer, offering support and guidance as necessary, and ensuring their Learning and Development needs are met

About You:

We're looking for an skilled marketing and communications professional who has experience in a role within PR, marketing, communications or another similar area. You'll be a strategic thinker, who can develop and execute plans with measurable outcomes. You'll be an expert communicator, editor and proofreader who is also a strong relationship-builder. iCatCare operates across numerous stakeholders internally, externally and with their membership so you'll be adept at stakeholder management within a collaborative organisation.

We are looking for a talented storyteller who can support their growth strategy around the charitable side of the organisation, so while it isn't essential, some experience of working within the sector would be useful.
