Junior Legal Manager

The company is growing, and they need the right people in the right places to support further expansion. As such, we're lookng for a Junior Legal Manager to join their team. The position offers the chance to further your career in leasehold management and offers a lot of scope for progression.

As one of their Junior Legal Managers, you will report directly to the Legal Manager and provide administrative and business support to both the Legal Manager and Head of Legal, enabling high quality, seamless service delivery as well as providing services directly to leaseholders and clients with a high level of customer service. You will be expected to work flexibility to support the team and meet customer and business needs.

Day to day, your role will include:

  • You'll take ownership of customer queries, aiming to resolve within their SLAs, or ensuring queries are met by collaborating with colleagues across departments
  • Correspond daily with the company solicitor, surveyors, leaseholders and clients (Management Companies/ Freeholders)
  • Dealing with breaches of leases
  • Obtaining title documents
  • Managing leasehold property enquiries
  • Company Secretary duties, e.g. companies house filings
  • Understand the importance of tasks to be able to priorities them such as sending out drafting and preparing documents, requesting information from correct parties, helping with Management Packs/LPE1s and checking documents completed are correct

Required experience:

  • Have an understanding of legislation and forthcoming law relevant to residential property management and building safety
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the Building Safety Act
  • Have knowledge or experience in dealing with Deed of Variations, Lease Extensions, Enfranchisement
  • Have knowledge or experience in dealing wayleave and access agreements
  • Have knowledge or experience in dealing with License to Alter and Party Wall notices.
  • Have knowledge or experience in dealing Right to Manage process
  • Have knowledge or experience in dealing FTT and Court applications
