We are looking for an accomplished Media Manager for a fixed-term contract in Sheffield. This role requires a dedicated individual who can manage and develop excellent media strategies for a public sector organisation.

This is a large public sector organisation, headquartered in South Yorkshire.

Description

  • Develop and implement media strategies to promote the public sector organisation
  • Manage relationships with media outlets and journalists
  • Oversee the creation of press releases, newsletters and other media materials
  • Ensure the consistency of the organisation's image and message across all media platforms
  • Monitor and analyse media coverage
  • Coordinate with the marketing and agency department for integrated campaigns
  • Manage crisis communications when necessary
  • Guide and supervise the media team

Profile

A successful Media Manager should have:

  • A degree in Media Studies, Journalism or a related field
  • Experience in media management within the public sector is desired
  • Knowledge of Media Law would be helpful
  • Strong knowledge of current media platforms and trends
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing media strategies
