Our client, a leading logistics company in Carlisle, is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Shift Manager to join their team on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key role within a thriving organisation.
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days / Nights - Fixed Shifts or Rotational)
Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 + Benefits.
These roles would suit a developing Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Team Leader, looking to take their first step up to a Warehouse Shift Manager level.
There roles can work on a fixed days or nights shift pattern subject to the candidates identified.
About the Role:
As a Warehouse Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, leading a team of 6 direct reports, and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the warehouse. Your primary duties will include:
- Managing and supervising warehouse staff, ensuring optimal performance.
- Overseeing receiving, storing, picking, and shipping operations.
- Maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitoring and improving warehouse processes and procedures.
- Providing training, coaching, and development for your team.
- Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics management role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems and best practices.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
- Be commutable to Carlisle 4 days per working week.
