Actively seeking a Procurement professional to join a leading Defence company based in Yeovil. This role will be part of a team accountable to deliver promises made by the purchasing team with regards to budget, lead time and quality.
This unique Procurement opportunity will be supporting this well known Defence organisation on a 6 month contract at their base in Yeovil, with an immediate start.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the creation and/or update of the Procurement level 3 plan in Excel using data from various sources.
- Work collaboratively with P&SC Bid Team to feedback changes in configuration, dramatic differences in PO values versus bid as well as keepting the PPS /PPM completely informed of these changes as well as impact to schedule.
- Work with the Procurement Programme Specialists to identify items at risk which could be on a cost basis, or schedule, including obsolescence.
Requirements:
- Ability to rapidly understand the company programs and organisation.
- Experience of SAP or similar MRP system
- Experienced user of MS Excel, who can use Pivots, VLookups and has understanding of formulas.
