Dunbar Education is thrilled to partner with a dynamic primary school located in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. The school is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join our team for two school terms starting in January 2025.

Role Overview:

As a Year 4 Teacher, you will inspire and motivate your pupils, fostering a love for learning through creative and engaging lessons. You will be responsible for planning and delivering a curriculum that meets the diverse needs of the class while helping pupils achieve their academic and personal goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor pupils' progress, providing timely feedback and support.
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages pupil participation.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and staff to support all learners effectively.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about pupil's progress and well-being.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and promote a positive learning culture.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably in Year 4.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A creative and adaptable approach to lesson planning and delivery.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
