Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / Automotive Engineer is required to join a friendly team of mechanics with a well-established, leading car dealership in Chipping Sodbury, South Gloucestershire, South West England.
ALL LEVELS OF EXPERIENCE CONSIDERED
The company will consider all levels of experience and will provide full Manufacturer Training to enhance your skill set when repairing, maintaining and servicing customer vehicles.

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 5.30pm, Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm, with ½ hour lunch break, Every other Saturday morning 8.30am - 12.30pm (paid at time and a half)
DUTIES
Your duties as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / Automotive Engineer will include:
- Carry out vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Utilise your technical knowledge to troubleshoot, test, diagnose and resolve faults
- Suggest and make improvements to processes within the garage and service department
- Work on electrical and mechanical systems
- Inspect components for wear and tear
- Repair and replace parts
- Check vehicle subsystems
- Liaising with customers where necessary
- Support other Technicians in the Workshop

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Experienced Candidates
- The knowledge to use diagnostic equipment
- Prior experience of working to efficiency targets
- Experience within a main automotive dealer preferable, but not essential
- VOSA approved MOT tester an advantage but not essential
- Level 2/3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair NVQ or equivalent
General Requirements
- The capability of working to the highest quality standards
- Great team player and communication skills
- Maintain high standards of house-keeping
- A full UK driving license
