This role is known within the organisation as an Internal Provision and Projects Coordinator.

SALARY: £25,628 per annum FTE / Actual Annual Salary £20,791 per annum

LOCATION: Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 35 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.00pm, Term Time only (39 weeks)

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a passionate and experienced School Inclusion Project Coordinator / Disengaged Student Attendance Officerwith excellent project management skills, who is a strong communicator with a passion for inclusion and a strong commitment to social justice.

Working as the School Inclusion Project Coordinator / Disengaged Student Attendance Officer you will lead an innovative initiative aimed at re-engaging disengaged students.

As the School Inclusion Project Coordinator / Disengaged Student Attendance Officer you will play a pivotal part in creating a more inclusive and supportive school environment for students who are currently disengaged from their education.

You will manage a dedicated project focused on improving student attendance, behaviour, and academic achievement. You will also work collaboratively with school staff to develop and implement long-term strategies to foster a culture of belonging and inclusion for all students

DUTIES

Your responsibilities as the School Inclusion Project Coordinator / Disengaged Student Attendance Officer will include:

Lead the development and implementation of a project plan to re-engage disaffected students, including:

  • Identifying and addressing the root causes of student disaffection
  • Developing and delivering targeted interventions and support programs
  • Monitoring student progress and measuring the impact of the project
  • Collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff, and external agencies to provide holistic support for disengaged students
  • Build strong relationships with students, fostering trust and open communication
  • Advocate for the needs of disaffected students within the school community
  • Support the development and delivery of training sessions for school staff on best practices for working with disengaged students and creating a more inclusive learning environment
  • With the Senior Team, monitor and evaluate the school's overall inclusion strategy, recommending and implementing improvements
  • Compile and analyse data to track student progress and the effectiveness of interventions
  • Prepare reports for senior leadership on the project's progress and impact

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Creativity and an enthusiasm to work with disengaged students in an educational setting
  • A passion for inclusion and a strong commitment to social justice
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to plan, implement, and monitor progress
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents
  • Data analysis skills and the ability to interpret and use data to inform decision-making
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively
