Join our Clients Milton Keynes friendly team and contribute to the growth of their firm! They are now looking for an Assistant Audit Manager to join the office.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting audit directors, senior managers, and managers with audit assignments.
  • Scheduling appropriate staff for audit tasks.
  • Managing and assisting with fieldwork.
  • Reviewing and completing audit files, highlighting key issues to the audit RI.
  • Communicating with clients professionally and appropriately.
  • Setting budgets and negotiating fees with clients.
  • Raising invoices according to the agreed billing profile.
  • Monitoring delivery against budgets and identifying any causes of overruns.
  • Participating in appraisals/reviews and identifying training needs.
  • Engaging in business development and attending networking events.

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and skills:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • At least 2 years of post-qualification audit experience in a UK Accountancy Firm.
  • Strong technical knowledge in UK GAAP.
  • Proficient in IT and familiar with computerized packages (ideally CaseWare).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, and multi-task effectively.
  • Strong ability to identify key risk areas during planning and completion.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate flexibility, and be a team player who effectively delegates tasks while maintaining responsibility for delegated activities.
  • Positive attitude and acts as a role model.
