An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Business Unit Accountant in the construction industry, based in Harlow. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in providing financial insights and decision-making support to the business.

Description

  • Support the development and implementation of financial systems and processes
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management
  • Production of monthly management accounts and reports including information for board presentations
  • Management of the company balance sheet, supporting ledgers and accounting records including preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliation pack
  • Production of year-end statutory accounts
  • Ensuring integrity of financial controls, identifying areas for improvements and proposing solutions
  • Supporting other members of the team in forecasting and business planning activities
  • Providing support to the business in improving working capital and cash management
  • Ad hoc projects, including data analysis and manipulation
  • Provision of insight and technical financial guidance to business teams as required
  • Advise on cost reduction and revenue enhancement strategies

Profile

A successful Finance Business Partner should have:

  • A relevant professional qualification (e.g.,ACA, ACCA, CIMA
  • Experience of working with an ERP system such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central an advantage
  • Experience of using 'non-Excel' consolidation and reporting tools (e.g. OneStream, Power BI) an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A solution-oriented approach and the ability to drive change

Job Offer
