Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking an experiences Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business located in Marston Green.

Our client is a family owned business specialising in corrugated card board boxes and sustainable packing solutions.

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, your primary role will be to maintain all machinery and equipment associated with the Corrugator. To support the optimisation and technical improvement of operations. Keeping tight reins on maintenance standards and working on improvement projects with others.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience maintaining Corrugator machines however, we are keen to speak with candidates who have machinery maintenance experience.

This role involves but is not limited to:

  • Spare parts assigned to Corrugator.
  • Weekly preventative maintenance for Corrugator.
  • Scheduling Corrugator engineering and maintenance works with the assistance of the Engineering Manager.
  • Monthly stock-take of spare parts.
  • Reacting to breakdowns or issues with the Corrugator.
  • Assisting with wider engineering works and supporting the engineering team as required.
  • To comply with Company Health and Safety rules and procedures to ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner.

Requirements :

  • Multi-skilled discipline, with bias towards mechanical.
  • Proven experience working with pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Experience working on steam lines and boilers (BOAS).
  • Previous BOAS training preferred, but not essential.
  • Able to carry out mechanical fault finding, and electrical if required.
  • Previous experience maintaining a Corrugator preferred, but not essential.

Working Hours:

Your working hours will be 40 per week, 8.30am - 5pm Wednesday to Sunday, with Sundays required on an ad hoc basis to cover manufacturer's maintenance visits. Tuesday's would be required if Sunday is not worked.
