Purchase Ledger Clerk

Search Accountancy and Finance are currently supporting a Construction Business in Leeds, to recruit for a Purchase Ledger Administrator to join their existing finance team.

This is an ideal role for someone who has some previous admin experience ad is looking to take a step into finance, or an existing Purchase Ledger Administrator.

Reporting to the Purchase Ledger Manager, you will be working in a busy office environment and will demonstrate a willingness to support the existing team as well as completing the tasks of your role on a day to day basis. Your duties will include but not be limited to sorting incoming supplier & Sub-Contractor invoices for processing, predominantly soft copies by email, and some hard copies by post. You will also match invoices to PO's via our internal goods receipting system whilst obtaining authorisation for non PO invoices. You will checking & code invoices, and liaise with suppliers regarding any invoice queries.

Previous experience of working within the Construction Industry would be advantageous but not essential.

Working within this business requires you to be able to communicate, collaborate and engage with people across the business, whilst producing high-quality work and demonstrating a willingness and positive attitude at all times.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail when record keeping.
  • Strong IT skills with good knowledge and skills in Excel, Outlook, Word.
  • Knowledge of CIS/DRC - desirable but not essential as training will be given.
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Numerate
  • Organised and methodical

The role is pay £22500-£24000 per annum dependant on experience.
