Salary: £28,600
Hours: 45 Hours
Job Type: Full time
Contract Type: Permanent

Rolling two-week Rota
Shift: Week 1: Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri and Saturday
Week 2: Monday to Friday

Shift times: 12:00pm to 21:00pm (Sunday to Fridays)
08:00am to 17:00pm (Saturdays)
(30-minute unpaid Lunch Break)

An exciting opportunity for a Transport Debrief Clerk has become available within our distribution/ transport department in Waltham Cross. The role involves the despatch & debriefing of drivers, ensuring accurate timely completion of paperwork and relating to bulk checks, backhauls, checking the return of all equipment and goods returned to the depot

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Checking and processing paperwork relating to bulk checks, backhauls, goods returned to depot.
  • Checking the return of all equipment and timely referral of customer queries and issues to the Team Leaders.
  • Checking invoices ensuring deliveries have been made and where applicable signatures confirm that deliveries have been obtained.
  • Debriefing drivers, with additional focus on incoming shorts.
  • Liaising with ‘Goods Returned' ensuring that any goods returned has been processed through ‘Goods In' department.
  • Receiving and reporting any vehicle faults and ensure that they are rectified.
  • Assist the Team Leaders with any other duties to help expedite driver's return.

Requirements:

  • GCSEs including English language and Maths with grade C or above in both.
  • Previous work experience in an administrative role (preferably in logistics industry but not essential
  • PC skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Problem solving skills and customer focused. (Identifies day to day customer service issues and takes appropriate action)
  • Friendly, helpful & polite with a "can do" attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Great relationship builder with experience and confidence to deal with internal and external stakeholders.
