Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting for an Interim Assistant Accountant to join a busy business with a great reputation based in North-East Bristol.
This opportunity is a Fixed Term Contract for a period of circa 15 months
Start Date: Flexible (Ideally June 2024)
Duration: 15 months
Salary range DOE: £30,000 - £37,000 + Study Support (ACCA/CIMA/AAT)
Hybrid working - 3 days a week in the office
Working hours - 35 hours a week, flexible with start/finish time
Role includes:
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Daily bank reconciliations
- System postings and supporting MI reports
- Clearing down aged/reconciling items
- Daily cash management and reconciliation of bank accounts
- Ensuring that the ledgers are closed and all month-end processes are completed on time
- Continuously seek improvements and efficiencies to the team's processes
- Assisting the team covering other reconciliations, the financial control framework, external auditor requests etc
Skills/Experience needed:
- Analytically minded - Enjoys handling large amounts of data and analysing information
- Enjoys sharing ideas, thinking outside of the box and making suggestions
- Previous experience with - Reconciliations, reporting, analysing, posting journals
- Comfortable using Excel (Any knowledge around Power BI is desirable)
- Ambitious & willing to learn and progress
- Team player
