We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and supervise a diverse range of construction projects. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in construction methodologies and procedures, capable of managing a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality projects within budget and on time.
Day to Day of the role:
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to define project specifications.
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to secure profitable agreements.
- Manage on-site labour to ensure project objectives are met.
- Obtain necessary permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
- Determine required resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Plan construction operations and schedule phases to meet deadlines.
- Procure equipment and materials, monitoring inventory to address shortages.
- Hire and supervise contractors and staff, delegating responsibilities as needed.
- Oversee work progress and provide guidance to labourers and technicians.
- Prepare detailed progress reports and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction or fit-out sector.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
- Knowledge of quality and health and safety standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with construction/project management software.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Leadership skills with a collaborative team approach.
- BSc/BA in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- PMP or equivalent certification is advantageous.
