Construction Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and supervise a diverse range of construction projects. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in construction methodologies and procedures, capable of managing a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality projects within budget and on time.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to define project specifications.
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors to secure profitable agreements.
  • Manage on-site labour to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Obtain necessary permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
  • Determine required resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, while adhering to budgetary constraints.
  • Plan construction operations and schedule phases to meet deadlines.
  • Procure equipment and materials, monitoring inventory to address shortages.
  • Hire and supervise contractors and staff, delegating responsibilities as needed.
  • Oversee work progress and provide guidance to labourers and technicians.
  • Prepare detailed progress reports and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction or fit-out sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
  • Knowledge of quality and health and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with construction/project management software.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Leadership skills with a collaborative team approach.
  • BSc/BA in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is advantageous.
