Working for a leading engineering firm based in Stafford, we are currently seeking a Controls Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering company who are going through an exciting growth period. The successful candidate will be delivering automation projects to company clients. The salary for this role is up to GBP55,000 per annum.
What will you be doing as a Controls Engineer?
- Reverse engineering of exiting control system software
- Produce functional design specifications, configuration of PLC and SCADA packages, factory testing, site testing and site based commissioning
- Monitor and plan projects to ensure completion in accordance with budget and time frame
- Ensure that all Design and Engineering activities meet all national and international standards
What we require for the role of Controls Engineer?
- Minimum of 3 years systems engineering experience
- PLC software development using devices from two of the following; Mitsubishi, Schneider, Siemens, Rockwell Automation
- HMI Software Development using devices from two of the following; Mitsubishi, Schneider, Siemens, Rockwell Automation
- Experience with multiple communications protocols; EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, PROFIBUS DP and PA, Modbus TCP/IP
- Experience working with SCADA and VSDs would be advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
