Role: Strategic Commissioning Consultant

Type: Interim - Full Time

Salary: £400 to £550 per day inside IR35

Hybrid 1 to 2 days in the office

Location: Bedfordshire

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a Strategic Commissioning Consultant for our Public Sector client.

This Commissioning Lead role will develop a Commissioning Delivery Plan that will focus on policy and practice to reduce third party spend.

Lead on the development, implementation and management of the Adults' Service Commissioning Delivery Plan.

Key responsibilities for the Strategic Commissioning Consultant are;

Create a Commissioning Board with the remit of setting the commissioning priorities, consolidating and overseeing the current workstreams

  • Establish regular commissioning meeting with commissioning partners to identify areas for joint commissioning opportunities
  • Develop a care home framework/DPS
  • Work with care providers to refresh Market Position Statement
  • Review approach to market management and fee uplifts, consider the formation of a provider forum(s) and/or other means of have structured and regular communication with the social care market
  • Support the Commissioning service redesign that builds capacity & capability across the organisation.

The Ideal candidate for the Strategic Commissioning Consultant will have;

  • Public Sector Commissioning experience
  • Experience of Commissioning of Adult Services
  • Demonstrable track record of implementing Market Position Statement
  • Project Management experience
  • Strong communication skills.
