Payroll Assistant (Accountancy practice)

Salary: Very Competitive + Excellent Benefits

Location: Bristol

The Client:

Our client is a well-established accountancy firm, specialising in audit, bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, and other financial services.

The Role:

As a Payroll Assistant, you will support payroll processes, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Resolving ad hoc payroll issues for clients.
  • Performing pay calculation checks for audit purposes.
  • Setting up new payrolls and pension schemes.
  • Calculating wage increments, overtime, leave pay, and sick pay.
  • Updating workflow reports.
  • Reviewing and generating reports on payroll data.

Requirements:

  • Previously worked as a Payroll Assistant, Payroll Admin or in a similar role.
  • Experience in managing payroll queries and calculations.
  • Background in running the end-to-end payroll.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Excel and other Microsoft applications.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Paycircle would be preferred.
