Alexander Lloyd are delighted to be partnering with a rapidly growing business based in Surrey on the hire of a Group Financial Controller on a permanent basis.
The Group Financial Controller will be responsible for the day to day running of the finance function and must be keen to get their hands dirty and improve processes whilst adding significant value to the long term growth of the business.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the monthly accounts production, management reporting to ensure insightful information for critical business decision
- Manage cash flow and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately
- Responsible for balance sheet including transactions, reconciliations and VAT as well as statutory returns
- Responsible for the completion of month and year-end processes
- Prepare budgets, forecasts and commercial plans
- Take control of process improvement projects
Qualifications/experience:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Significant experience in a hands on senior finance role within an SME organisation
- A proven people manager who enjoys leading and developing a team
- Good technical accounting knowledge with regards to operational finance
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to improve and develop internal processes and systems
