Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Barking and Dagenham, RM10 | Pay: £94 - £105 per day | Contract: Temp to Perm | Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Are you passionate about education and ready to make a real difference in the lives of young learners? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school located in Barking and Dagenham. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive environment and help shape the academic and personal development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Collaborate closely with the class teacher to assist students in their learning activities, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance and encouragement.
  • Targeted Assistance: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who may need extra help with their studies.
  • Behavioural Guidance: Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere by promoting good behaviour and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Resource Preparation: Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources to create an engaging and dynamic learning environment.
  • Supervision: Ensure student safety during class, break periods, and school activities.
  • Special Needs Support: Support students with special educational needs (SEN), tailoring teaching methods to suit their individual learning requirements.
  • Communication: Foster effective communication with parents, teachers, and staff to ensure students receive the best possible support.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (Teaching Assistant qualifications are an advantage).
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping young learners succeed.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
