Credit Control Manager

Credit Control & Sales Ledger Manager - 1 year FTC - Up to £50,000 plus bonus & benefits - London/Birmingham (hybrid - 2 days a week in the office)

My client, a market leading professional services organisation with global operations is looking to recruit a Credit Control Manager for a 1 year maternity cover fixed term contract offering hybrid working based in London or Birmingham. The UK-based finance team is fully responsible for the financial management of the UK business and has recently assumed control of the US operations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the commercial credit control ledger
  • Managing the credit control team and all output
  • Contacting clients to confirm payment of invoices via telephone & email
  • Interact with EAs/support staff to educate them on processes and assist with reviewing debtors regularly
  • Manage and or escalate bad debt provisions where appropriate
  • Utilise finance packages to ensure the accuracy of data
  • Investigation into queries/payment issues using various resources
  • Provide analysis and KPIs regarding debtors, report on invoices paid
  • Work closely and effectively with the Sales Ledger team
  • Escalate queries and client issues to the appropriate person(s) where required

Key skills:

  • Demonstrable experience in credit control management
  • Experience working in Professional Services background (preferred but not essential)
  • Advanced IT skills, Microsoft 365 and expert Excel skills
  • Experience managing a small team
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative approach
