Description
Assistant Accountant (Service Charge - Commercial):
As part of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient financial management of service charge accounts within a fast-paced environment while upholding compliance with financial regulations as well.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and maintaining service charge accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with RICS regulations
- Prepare and review service charge budgets
- Producing client statements and any additional reports required
- VAT reporting
- Collaborate with property management team to resolve accounts queries
- Liaise with external accountants on production of year end accounts where necessary
Profile
A successful Assistant Accountant (Service Charge - Commercial should have:
- A strong educational background in accounting or finance.
- MUST HAVE - COMMERCIAL SERVICE CHARGE experience / Commercial Property Management Accounts
- 'RICS' (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) knowledge is highly desirable
- Proven experience in a similar role within the property industry.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- An understanding of relevant industry regulations.
