A Spanish Teacher is needed in a Coeducational Secondary School in South London.

This will be a full time, temporary Spanish Teacher position.

If appointed as a Spanish Teacher you will be required to teach KS3 to KS4 Spanish.

Standard class teacher responsibilities will apply for this Spanish Teacher post. This includes but isn't limited to; planning lessons, assessing pupil progress and attending team meetings/parents evenings.

Strong behaviour management, a positive teamwork ethic and desire to develop your career will all be essential qualities in order to be considered for this Spanish Teacher role.

The rates of pay for this Spanish Teacher position will range from £180 to £290 a day, depending on the experiences and qualifications of each applicant.

The school is rated 'Good' by Ofsted.

Personal Development was rated as 'Outstanding'.

It has state of the art buildings, which provide all staff and pupils with an inspiring work environment.

Working closely with the associated 6th Form in the area, the team is looking to ensure a smooth transition for pupils that complete their GCSEs and move on to A Levels.

MFL is the schools specialism, with Chinese and Spanish being taught to all Key Stage 3 pupils.

SEN is supported to the highest level in the school, with a specific focus being placed on all pupils to be provided with a ambitious and rich curriculum.

Literacy is highly valued by the team and there is a conscious effort for parents to encourage their children to regularly read outside of school.

Clubs and extracurricular activities at the school include; Volleyball, Football, Chess, Anime/Comics, ICT, Art, Basketball, Boardgames, Theatre, Cooking, Music, Science, Athletics, Boxing, Spanish and Japanese.

Requirements

Applications are welcome if you are a newly qualified Spanish Teacher or experienced Spanish Teacher.

You are also encouraged to apply if you are a British trained Spanish Teacher or overseas trained Spanish Teacher.

Having UK QTS will be essential. Applicants without it will not be considered.

Applicants must have the following in order to be shortlisted for this position as a Spanish Teacher:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • UK QTS or overseas equivalent
  • Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
  • Experience as a Spanish Teacher in UK schools
