Salary: £90 - £100 - daily rate.

Reports To: Early Years Practitioner

**Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant with a Level 3 qualification to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will support the early years teaching staff in delivering high-quality care and educational experiences for children aged 0-5 years. This role involves assisting in the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting the physical, emotional, and social development of young children.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Learning Activities:

  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities that align with the EYFS curriculum.

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to children, fostering their learning and development.

  • Help prepare and set up resources and learning materials.

  • Childcare and Supervision:

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.

  • Supervise and engage children during indoor and outdoor play activities.

  • Assist with mealtime routines, including feeding and encouraging healthy eating habits.

  • Assessment and Record Keeping:

  • Observe and monitor children's progress, recording and reporting findings to the lead teacher or nursery manager.

  • Maintain accurate records of children's achievements and developmental milestones.

  • Parental Engagement:

  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing feedback on their child's progress and well-being.

  • Participate in parent meetings and events as required.

  • Team Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a positive and inclusive environment.

  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development opportunities.

  • Classroom Environment:

  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.

  • Support the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.

**Qualifications and Experience:

  • Essential:

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.

  • Experience working with children aged 0-5 years in an early years setting.

  • Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Desirable:

  • Pediatric First Aid certification.

  • Safeguarding training.

  • Experience with special educational needs (SEN) support.
