Financial Controller - Construction/ Design Company

My client offers an in-house design and planning with an ever expanding team of trades and suppliers. Covering Green Roof, Media Walls, Excavated Basements, New Extensions and more.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and analyse financial statements.
- Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts.
- Provide financial insights for decision-making.
Financial Management:
- Manage cash flow and liquidity.
- Implement cost control measures.
- Support financial strategy development.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain internal controls.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor the finance team.
- Collaborate with project managers and other departments.
- Communicate financial performance to senior management.
Financial Operations:
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Coordinate external audits.
- Implement financial systems.
Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to business planning and investment analysis.
- Track and report key financial performance indicators (KPIs).
Industry-Specific Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate project accounting and cost tracking.
- Review contracts for financial terms and risks.
- Support the bidding process with financial analysis.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA preferred.
- Experience in financial management within the construction and design industry.
- Proficiency in financial software.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
