IDS UK Ltd supply duty free goods to Diplomatic missions within the UK as well as various export locations around the world. We are now looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our company, reporting to the Warehouse Manager.

Location: Washington, West Sussex – driver with own transport essential due to remote location

Salary: c£26,000pa

Hours: 40 Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm, with 30 minutes off for lunch

Our small, friendly team are now looking to recruit a reliable, experienced warehouse operative. Duties will include picking and packing individual orders for export under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager. Good attention to detail is essential and a working knowledge of wines and spirits would be beneficial.

Although we are based in Washington, we work on and dispatch exports from our bonded facility in Tilbury, Essex. You will be required to work on-site in Tilbury, travelling there in one of our company vehicles daily.

Ideally, you will be meticulous and tidy with a good eye for detail. This is vital to ensure exports are dispatched without errors. As you will be based within a shared warehouse, you must have good knowledge of standard Health and Safety practices used within this environment. We are looking for a hard worker with excellent time keeping and basic computer skills on packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

You will be working with a friendly, fun loving but very efficient team. The department does get very busy at peak times so the ability to keep calm under pressure is essential. Some additional hours may be required to complete and dispatch shipments on time as will occasional overnight stays in Essex to maximise efficiency.

  • Good level of English is essential
  • Willingness to cover whilst colleagues are on holiday
  • Physically fit and healthy

You must also have held a full UK driving license for a minimum of 2 years as you will be required to drive company vehicles.
