Role Overview: D365 Data & Reporting Consultant
As part of a transformation project, my client is implementing Microsoft Dynamics D365 F&SCM to replace their legacy accounting systems. This project is critical to their operations, and they are seeking a skilled D365 Data & Reporting Consultant to join the finance team. This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring that the data architecture and reporting processes are optimised for their new system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Process Design: Collaborate with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define and design optimal financial processes within D365.
- System Integration: Understand and map out how the internal financial billing systems interface with existing and new accounting systems.
- D365 Solution Design: Work with SMEs to design a D365 solution that leverages data lakes and custom tables for intermediary accounting and primary reporting layers.
- Architectural Delivery: Develop process diagrams and content architectures for the data lake.
- Quality Assurance: Act as a checkpoint for partner-proposed processes, challenging where necessary to ensure the highest standards are met.
Preferred Experience:
- Extensive experience with data lakes, particularly in a D365 environment.
- Expertise in D365 R2R (Record to Report) processes, including revenue, cost of sales, and margin reporting.
- Experience in integrating bespoke billing systems with D365 and data lakes.
- Proficiency in data architecture and reporting, including technologies like Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Server, and Power BI.
- Familiarity with canonical data models and medallion lakehouse architecture.
