Accounts Assistant

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Clerk to join our team. This role is ideal for a candidate with a flexible approach who can work under pressure and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Processing client payments, invoices, disbursements, petty cash, and daily banking with high attention to detail.
  • Conducting compliance activities, including anti-money laundering (AML) checks and client due diligence.
  • Collaborating with Partners, fee earners, and staff regarding billing and client enquiries.
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable procedures.
  • Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions.
  • Assisting with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
  • Utilising accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero for daily tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong numerical skills and ability to work efficiently and accurately.
  • Professional telephone manner and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Experience of using ALB or similar case management systems is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero.
