Sales Representative

We are seeking a Sales Representative to join our team, contributing to the growth of our business. With a history of over 40 years, we specialise in manufacturing electronic, industrial weighing equipment and weighbridges, serving sectors such as agriculture, logistics, quarrying, recycling, and waste. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and a good rapport within one or more of the relevant sectors.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Office-based role with UK-wide travel, including overnight stays for customer visits and trade shows.
  • Engage with customers at all levels, from management to staff, conducting site surveys with detailed documentation.
  • Discuss technical requirements with colleagues to accurately inform customers.
  • Manage customer enquiries and create tailored quotations.
  • Organise, administrate, set up, and attend exhibitions.
  • Contribute to social media, website content, and other company literature.
  • Coordinate advertising with trade publications.
  • Secure customer orders and ensure smooth internal handover of details.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in new product sales of medium to high-value capital equipment.
  • Understanding of technical product requirements, including mechanical, electronic, and software components.
  • Preferred background in agriculture with knowledge of UK farming practices, particularly arable, but other sectors will be considered.
  • Proficient computer skills for updating company systems.
  • Organised, with excellent communication skills and customer focus.
  • Flexibility to work extra hours as needed.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
