**Accounts Assistant Position Overview
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Processing supplier invoices
- Ordering materials/ parts online and through credit suppliers
- Raising purchase orders through our CRM System
- Setting up weekly supplier payments
- Reconcile bank statements and card transactions
- Processing subcontractor invoices and Submitting monthly CIS Returns
- Maintain general ledger and perform month-end close activities
- Generate financial reports
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
- Ad hoc projects and tasks as required, such as managing the vehicle fleet (arranging MOTS etc)
- Submit quarterly VAT returns to HMRC
**Accounts Assistant Position Requirements
Essential:
- A minimum of 2 years bookkeeping experience in the UK
- Proficiency in Quickbooks
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Meticulous and organised
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Desired:
- AAT or accountancy qualification
- To Start ASAP
- Monday to Friday with some flexibility in start time standard hours are 08:30 -17:00 with a 1-hour lunchbreak
- Commute to work should be within 1 hour.
