Description
As a Management Accountant, you will be stepping into a pivotal position within the finance team. This role involves working closely with senior stakeholders and taking charge of key financial activities, including closing accounts, managing journals, and providing valuable analytical reviews. You'll also play a critical role in supporting the transition to SAGE X3, the client's new priority system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage accruals, journals, and consolidation
- Support the implementation and transition to SAGE X3, bringing fresh insights and ideas to streamline processes.
- Assist with various financial projects and offer analytical reviews to senior management.
- Validate financial data, ensuring accuracy in reports and analysis.
Profile
- ACA Qualified Accountant (preferred).
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to close accounts efficiently.
- Previous experience working with SAGE X3 is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Advanced Excel skills are essential - you're comfortable working with complex data sets and formulas.
- Experience in accruals accounting and journal bookings.
- A proactive attitude with a genuine interest in management accounting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and driving improvements.
- Strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
