Your new company is a leading tier one automotive manufacturer, based in Liverpool.
Your new role
Your new role as an interim maintenance team leader means you will lead a shift-based team of maintenance engineers, whilst also getting involved in the work of the maintenance department, carrying out work including TPM, to ensure the constant running of all plant equipment and facilities, with minimal downtime.
Other duties include:
- Supporting TPM implementation and continuous improvement, problem solving and fault-finding activities
- Developing and delivering Preventative Maintenance Schedule
- Liaising with outside contractors as required.
- Managing and maintaining supply of spares.
- Maintaining housekeeping through 5s and Lean principles.
- Supporting continuous improvement activities throughout the Plant (i.e.waste walk, LPA actions etc)
- Providing maintenance support within projects, as determined by the Management Team
- Working with Engineering team on new installations and projects
- Ensuring compliance to ISO 14001 (Environmental) /18001 (H&S) Standards, IATF16949 and TISAX
What you'll need to succeed
- You will be a time-served, multi-skilled maintenance engineer, within a high volume, automotive (or similar) environment
- You have experience of leading a team, with the ability to work as part of a team and also alone
- You will be a confident decision maker and a proactive problem solver
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
- 18th Edition wiring regulations preferable
What you'll get in return
- A rate of up to £35/hr (inside IR35) dependent on experience
- Initial length of contract is around 4 months, with the potential to be extended past this
