Your new company are well known in the local area and are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
Your new role will be an all-round accounts role which will support the Finance Manager in all aspects of day to day duties:
- Preparation of management accounts
- Assist with year-end audit
- Assist with completion of annual budget and forecasting
- Variance analysis
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Bank reconciliations
- Develop and implement processes and controls
- Oversee stock accounting
- General ledger reconciliations
- Maintaining bought ledger and sales ledger
- Allocating payments, raising invoices, posting nominals to control totals
- Generating payments and month-end accruals
- This is not an exhaustive list of duties.
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified by experience, AAT qualified or studying ACCA or CIMA
- Experience in management accounts and transactional accounting
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player
- Accountability and a self-starter
- A positive, can-do attitude to working
