Senior Group Financial Accountant

A leading global production agency, operating internationally across all key markets, is seeking a Group Financial Accountant to support the Finance Manager and Group Financial Controller. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a dynamic organisation that values innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consolidated Statutory & Management Accounts:

  • Work closely with Group entities to report accounting data monthly.

  • Analyse and ensure accuracy and completeness of local data, ensuring consistent reporting mapped to the Group chart of accounts.

  • Assist with month-end close activities, including inter-company, group balance sheet reconciliations, and debtor/creditor analysis.

  • Group Accounting & Reporting Policies:

  • Support the implementation of Group accounting, reporting, and control policies across subsidiaries.

  • Ensure the consistent application of policies such as revenue and cost recognition, foreign exchange transactions, and activity-based costing.

  • Audit & Compliance:

  • Assist with external audits and the coordination of information across the Group.

  • Provide accounting support for key areas such as investments, leases, and hedging.

  • Treasury Support:

  • Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts using data from group entities.

  • Support quarterly covenant checks and compliance reporting.

  • Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process, monitoring spend against budget, and analysing variances.

  • Business Partnering:

  • Provide financial insight and solutions, supporting the development and maintenance of rate cards and working closely with business units.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CA) with 3+ years of experience in a multinational group.
  • Strong technical expertise in UK GAAP, FRS 102, and IFRS standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including data manipulation and analysis.
