Robert Half is partnerning with a global retail company in its search for a Senior Finance Manager to join its rapidly expanding team in Blackburn. This key role involves overseeing end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and identifying opportunities to enhance procedures and controls. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be an essential asset to the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor day-to-day financial operations.
- Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports, providing key insights and recommendations.
- Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders, operational colleagues, and relevant departments.
- Provide data-backed recommendations to support effective decision-making.
- Ensure accurate monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating any discrepancies.
- Identify methods to minimize financial risk.
- Deep involvement in the year-end audit process, addressing performance-related queries.
- Undertake various projects such as automation and systems improvements (SAP/POS).
- Oversee and produce the monthly Board Pack and Profit & Loss Account.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 3+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Ability to adapt to and manage changing priorities.
- Capability to work in a fast-paced, growing environment.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ambitious, self-motivated, and proactive.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Paying up to £67,000
