We are seeking a qualified HGV Technician to join our team in Ripley. This role is ideal for someone with experience working with HGVs in a workshop environment and is proficient in testing MOT Class 4, 5 & 7. If you have a background in a similar environment and understand the complex nature of large commercial vehicles, we would like to hear from you.
Day to Day of the role:
- Interpret instructions from the job card/repair order and comply with repair instructions.
- Conduct testing for MOT Class 4, 5 & 7.
- Attend training and stay updated with the latest technical information.
- Accurately report and record work done and tests carried out, and immediately report any further work required or vehicle faults.
- Maintain allocated work areas in a clean and tidy condition.
- Provide information, maintain records and carry out all duties in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.
- Enhance the image and reputation of the company while supporting its commercial interests.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience as an HGV Technician, ideally in a workshop environment.
- Proficiency in testing MOT Class 4, 5 & 7.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to handle a variety of workloads, both planned and unplanned.
