What you will be doing...

  • Ensure the "treating customers fairly" principle and the "consumer duty" are fully integrated within the Parkdean Resorts sales processes and that a culture of compliance is maintained.
  • Ensure training for in scope employees meets business and external regulatory requirements and is delivered in an effective manner. In addition, ensure proper reporting on all training to monitor compliance.
  • Effectively manage regulated complaints and ensure suitable reporting and analysis of such complaints is maintained.
  • Responsibility for reviewing and updating policies and procedures to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and are fit for purpose.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining suitable reporting on FCA compliance to ensure continued compliance with, amongst other things, the "consumer duty".
  • Provide advice and support across the business in relation to FCA compliance, including in relation to financial promotions, sales incentives, vulnerability and representative examples.
  • Liaising with external suppliers, including lenders, to ensure the group is meeting its obligations in relation to individual relationships as well as wider FCA regulations.
  • Integrate with the Holiday Home Sales team and respond to general FCA compliance enquiries from the business to ensure smooth running of operations.
  • Maintain an "in-scope" register of employees and advise the HR team on what "fit and proper" checks need to be completed in relation to employment.
  • Keep accurate records in relation to FCA compliance and ensure that all tasks are delivered accurately and on time. This includes ensuring regulatory filings are completed on time.
  • Support the Head of Legal in conducting investigations on any complex legal or regulatory activities that may take place.
  • Keep knowledge of regulatory issues up to date and use this knowledge to see if there are impacts that need to be addressed. Proactively identify areas for improvement.
  • Be an FCA compliance advocate and raise awareness with the sales teams.
  • It is your responsibility to report any weakness or breach that you identify within the Company's information systems or services (even if only suspected).?
  • You have a duty to take care of your own health and safety and that of your colleagues, guests, and visitors.??
  • Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility, and you have a duty of care for your own health and safety and that of your colleagues, guests, and visitors. You must report any concerns and co-operate with management to enable it to comply with its health and safety and safeguarding accountabilities.?

Some of the skills and experience we are looking for:

Essential

  • Have experience and interest in FCA compliance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and organise own workload and using own initiative where appropriate.
  • Discretion to handle sensitive information ensuring that it is handled appropriately.
  • Excellent ICT skills with good working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Desirable

  • Good working knowledge of FCA regulation.
  • FCA compliance related qualification.
